With the just seven-year-old Westphalian stallion Paramo K Franke Sloothaak secured victory in the 17-horse-jump-off in the Grand Prix of Frankfurt, the International Mitsubishi Cup of the CSI Frankfurt. As the second-to-the-last-starter Franke achieved a clear round in 37.01 seconds over the course built by Olaf Petersen. Runner-up became Heinrich-Wilhelm Johannsmann aboard the Westphalian stallion Prosario NRW (0/38.56). Third behind the two German riders got Sweden's Helena Lundback aboard the eight-year-old Swedish stallion So What (0/38.69).

| The Dutch European Championships Individual thirds and team silver medalists Arjen Teeuwissen and Gestion Goliath T were the great winners of CDI Frankfurt, held December 10 - 12, 1999. The by Anky van Grunsven and her trainer Sjef Janssen trained shooting stars of the year 1999 were the convincing winners of the Grand Prix and the Grand Prix Freestyle test to music. Runner-up in the both tests became Nadine Capellmann aboard her Grand Prix prospect Nikolaus. In the kuer he Russian winners of the Central European World Cup League Elena Sidneva and her Trakehner gelding placed third. |

The for the eighth time scheduled final of the Nürnberger Burg-Pokal, the unofficial German Championship for seven- to nine-year-old dressage prospects on Prix St. Georges-level, was shining by the quality of its horses and rides. The final found a deserving winner in Nadine Capellmann's eight-year-old Holstein gelding Cockney. Runner-up got the by Nicole Uphoff performed nine-year-old Trakehner stallion Friedensfürst, third the seven-year-old Hanoverian gelding Piccolino under the saddle of Klaus Husenbeth. |
